So far everything works fine, except my keyboard. After every reboot it doesn't stay connected and the only thing that helps is unplugging the USB dongle and putting it back in. Turning the keyboard off and on does not help. What I found out is that the problem seems to exist since Windows 8. What I tried so far with no success:.
Re-Installing the drivers. Changing the mode of the USB dongle (plugging it in and holding the connect button for 5 seconds and the reinstalling the driver, since the old setting will no longer work after changing the mode). Calling Logitech support, but as I expected, they just blamed MS (maybe rightfully so;)) There's one final thing I can try, that is replacing the original Logitech USB dongle with a generic USB BlueTooth dongle, that was another tip on the Logitech Forums.
But I'm not so happy with tha solution since I suspect that it will behave like the changed mode I'm using now where the overlays when I use function keys do no longer appear. Since I rather like the keyboard, replacing it would be the least favorable solution. Especially since the only one that looks like I could like it is from Logitech again. And currently I'm angry at Logitech and don't want to buy another product from them;) So, if anyone also had the issue and solved it, that would be great. My apologies for responding to your post, considering your feelings with Logitech right now, but I found your current issue quite interesting. Changing the mode of the USB dongle (plugging it in and holding the connect button for 5 seconds and the reinstalling the driver, since the old setting will no longer work after changing the mode) You might be trying to configure the receiver to work in HCI mode (where Bluetooth Stack is in control).
I'm afraid that this method will not work, since the DiNovo Edge receiver is designed to use 'Embedded' (or HID) mode only. This might also be the reason why other forum users are suggesting to use a generic USB Bluetooth dongle instead. Perhaps you could try disabling your PC's USB Selective Suspend Setting to see if it makes any difference (Control Panel System and Security Power Options Change Advanced Power Settings USB Settings). My apologies for responding to your post It's OK, I'll let it slip for now! Perhaps you could try disabling your PC's USB Selective Suspend Setting to see if it makes any difference (Control Panel System and Security Power Options Change Advanced Power Settings USB Settings). That actually did the trick, although I forgot to test it with the PC turned off, I only tried several reboots.
I will test this tonight when I'm back home and let you know. Thanks a lot!
Since you are a Logitech Employee, why not put this info in that thread? I'm sure, some people would find that helpful. Although we already are quite on top in Google search now as well;). I'm having the same problem.
Disabling selective suspend does not seem to have helped for me however.:( Like the OP, I have a DiNovo Edge and upgraded-to-Windows-10 machine for which the keyboard does not work initially after startup. Re-plugging the keyboard's factory-issue adapter then allows the keyboard to work. Like OP, I've reinstalled the latest Logitech drivers.
Possible differences: My machine is an upgrade from Windows 7, not 8. I also have a MX Air that SetPoint is keeping track of. This mouse has been working flawlessly since the upgrade. Might you have any other ideas I might try?:) Thanks for looking into this!
